Well another first, Started a second blog! It going to struggle keeping them both fresh.
On the off chance you want to read it, it is https://alternativepokergames.blogspot.com/
And another first learnt how to add a hyper link into the blog, may be small fry to you but new skill for me. And according to the Webist / blogist / twitterist / facebookist / instagramist / case studyist supremo at work, is what you should do.
If you play poker and want some new games this is the blog for you, it is only new, so it will take time for me to add the full selection of "West End dealer’s choice games", so be patient.
Anyway tonight (Thursday) is "virtual night at the pub playing poker instead of the West End but really at home after putting the kids to bed" night.
We have discovered https://www.pokernow.club/
It is free to play and the site doesn't take a cut. just get some mates, set up a game, another to set up a zoom meeting and away you go.
We like it at work too, so much so lunch times are now virtual poker tournament time. There is also an online league, just for fun again, but spoiled sometimes by idiots who ruin games and don't lose anything because it is free.
Anyway enough of that, that's for "the other" blog.
Just booked virtual parents evening, is virtual the word of 2020? Apparently not Collins says it is "Lock down" ( https://edition.cnn.com/2020/11/10/uk/collins-word-of-the-year-2020-lockdown-scli-intl/index.html ) where as the good old OED can not make up its mind ( https://languages.oup.com/word-of-the-year/2020/ ) . Booked early as rumour has it there are more pupils than teacher slots. Only 5 mins per teacher by phone, after that line goes dead! Very proud of oldest daughter on the way she has kept up to date with the school work while having to work a massive percentage of time at home since March.
Now then, something completely different, looking forward to tomorrow, Fish and Chip Lunch day. Last Friday of the month work kindly buys us all fish and chips. Unless of course your body is a temple like our Opps Director who gets up half an hour before he goes to bed to go in his gym. Well he is an Old Yorkshireman and has 2 teenage boys to keep up with.
Only 393 words so far, oh dear, marketingist lady at work says over a 1000 for a good blog, but in that case why is the New Zealand TV programme called 800 words? Worth a watch in my humble opinion (https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/b08vp21p/800-words ) . Also is it programme or program if it is made by NZ TV? Good old google the Kiwi’s are still with us (officially at least), it is still programme for TV (and like us program for computers).
Whoops, can I say Kiwi? Apparently I can, it is OK according to the BBC, even considered complimentary, Yay, no harm done.
Must learn how to do a pithy / witty sum up for a post, maybe I should watch more Grand Designs.
